LARRY NEIDICH

For close to forty years Larry Neidich has been an educator in both the NYC public schools and several districts in Rockland County, NY, as a technology teacher. He started his career in 1969 after graduating City College of NYC, holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters Degree in Education.

His City College education provided an extensive background in numerous disciplines, including metal working, woodworking, ceramics, mechanical drawing and graphic arts. In addition to these disciplines, a course in mass production gave him the foundation for the steps needed in producing “THE CLUB REST”.

The idea of “THE CLUB REST” was born, along with its cofounder Michael Rhein on day while playing golf with another couple. Every time they approached the green, they had along with a putter and a wedge with a device to hold their clubs upright and off the ground. After several holes they said to themselves “that’s a great idea BUT, we can make a better mousetrap”. Within a short period of time Michael had set up a workstation in his garage with several machines to create a better device that we had seen that day. It took several weeks and numerous prototypes until a final design prototype was completed. The next step was to explore its merits and get real golfer’s feedback.

The show and tell with ad hock focus groups at golf courses was a success, the positive feedback was overwhelming “The Club Rest “was born!

The more the two partners got into the process the more involved it became. That little brainstorm idea is now patent pending, the name and slogan are trademarked and ready to go to market. Larry is proud to include his grandson Jake Epple to oversee the marketing and web development.

In addition, they are fortunate to have met Mike Murdock as a manufacturer’s representative and production expert to find the best solutions for mass produce the product.
